Who are we?

Founded in 2009, the guys of 33 1/3, collectively, bring together over 90 years of "good-times experience"
and an extensive repertoire of Classic Rock, Blues, R&B, Jazz and even a little Country.

Max Barnett, guitar & vocals, was born and raised in the Joplin area and still calls it home. He's worked extensively in the 4 States area with the bands Great Western Bus Ride, Wetsu, World Machine, The Impalas and Willie & the Po' Boys.  Max has opened for the likes the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent.  Max's talent on guitar and his vocals give a much appreciated range and enthusiasm to our song list. Have a look at Max's myspace page.

John Gobetz, bass & vocals,  lives in Pittsburg and has been a fixture around the 4 States for many years, playing in such bands as The Heaters, Area 51, Mister X and Loose Change.  Aside from his own projects,  John has backed up artists such as The Byrds, Brewer & Shipley, Janie Fricke, The Judds, Merle Haggard, Razzy Bailey & others.  His vocal range and aggressive bass style add a lot of depth to 33 1/3.  Check out John's myspace page.

Larry Douglas, drums & vocals, hails from the Southern Ontario part of Canada. Yes, he's the band's unofficial Canucklehead.  Larry toured Canada and the northern U.S. for over 20 years in a number of bands. With his meat 'n' potatoes style, he's worked with, or opened for, the likes of James Brown, Junior Walker & The Allstars, The Commodores, Billy Preston and dozens of others. Moving to Pittsburg in 2001, Larry spent time with Rockabilly Hall of Fame members, The Bellhops. Click here to go to Larry's site.

With a song list that runs from Bob Seger to The Rolling Stones, Marshall Tucker to The Allman Brothers, Delbert McClinton to Bachman Turner Overdrive and Bad Company to Stevie Ray Vaughn, 33 1/3 will make you tap your toes, stomp your feet, boogie in your chair or get up and shake your groove thing.
